Why I Make These

I’ve been riding motorcycles for nearly 20 years. But nothing hit me like the sound of a Shovelhead. I saw a video online — just the idle of that engine — and it got into my head and wouldn’t leave.

My first Harley wasn’t a Shovel. It was an Ironhead — last year of production, matching frame and engine. To me, it’s one of the cleanest around. I remember as a kid watching Black Rain, seeing Michael Douglas ride this dark, stripped-down machine — years later, I found out it was a Harley XLCR designed by Willie G.

That bike rewired my brain. During a rough winter in Calgary, low energy, I found a video that said something like: “Get your bike up. Get out there.” I did. That ride brought me back. The vibrations, the smell, the sound — I felt the engine in my soul.

That’s why I make these badges. Not as a sign shop. Not as merch. But as an artist — capturing the spirit of real riders and legendary bikes.
